J.D. Power is well known for its annual US Vehicle Reliability Study, which attempts to rank automobile manufacturers on the basis of reliability using consumer survey data.
J.D. Power has released the 2019 edition of the list this week, which shows some minor changes in the reliability of vehicles compared to last year.
For the study, J.D. Power interviews original vehicle owners after three years of operation in various categories including Exterior, Interior, Seats, Engine / Transmission, Driving Experience, Audio / Navigation and Controls / Displays. The quiz measures the number of problems encountered by 100 vehicles. J.D. Power then clbadifies brands based on this indicator and badigns them a "PP100" score. The lower the score, the less the owners of vehicles of this brand have problems. Simple!

10. Kia
Kia is still very reliable and ranks in J.D. Power's top 10 for the most reliable brands, but has gone from 5th place in 2018 to 10th. He had a PP100 score of 122 last year and a similar score of 126 this year.
