The Mamfe Akuapem Methodist Girls' High School in the Eastern Region was congratulated and congratulated for winning the ROBOFEST 2019 World Contest, held in Michigan, United States of America.

It is estimated that more than 20,000 teams from nearly 60 countries participated in this year's Robot Olympiads, which are held annually for young people from around the world.

The 20th edition of the robotic approach to problem solving has allowed the Ghanaian school to win the final competition.

Mr Daniel Jackson congratulated the instructors for their hard work and their commitment to generating a positive image for Ghana 's education.

He urged young people to innovate to solve the problems our society is facing.

He observed that, compared to the disciplines of the arts, humanities and commerce, the percentage of Ghanaians teens and young people wishing to pursue careers in science and science students was the lowest.
