Manchester United have agreed on a principle amount with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho, sources have told ESPN.
United are expected to pay £ 72.9million ($ 101million) for the England winger’s transfer, sources say. There are no add-ons as part of the transaction.

Talks with Sancho’s representatives, which began last summer, have gone well and the 21-year-old will undergo a medical examination before signing a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until at least 2026.
Sancho is currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020 and will continue to prepare for Saturday’s quarter-final against Ukraine in Rome.

United are not expected to officially announce the deal until the end of their involvement in the tournament. Among other things, there are quarantine issues surrounding him leaving the training bubble in England and then joining it, which he would have to do to have a medical exam and sign his contract.
But Sancho is expected to be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad in time for the Premier League season to start on August 14.
It ends a transfer saga that has lasted for almost 18 months. Sancho was Solskjaer’s main transfer target last summer and although Sancho expressed his desire to move, United were unable to agree a fee with Borussia Dortmund.
Negotiations between the two clubs have progressed faster this time around and Solskjaer will finally get his man back.
Sancho spent four years in Germany after arriving from Manchester City in 2017. He scored 50 goals in 137 games and was named Bundesliga Team of the Year in 2019 and 2020. Although he has been through City’s academy, he has yet to make a Premier League appearance.
