James Maddison told Leicester City that he wanted to stay at the club despite the interest of Manchester United and Arsenal, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Leicester had signed a £ 20 million contract with Norwich City last summer and had been impressive in his first season in the Premier League.

Maddison has scored seven goals and scored seven badists in 36 Premier League games, while his performances have sparked the interest of several clubs.

Earlier this week, news revealed that Manchester United had made contact with Leicester to discuss an agreement with Maddison, but the Fox demand an amount of 60 million pounds for the midfielder.

The Leicester badessment also wiped out Arsenal's hopes of getting an agreement with Maddison, who has a summer budget of around £ 40m after failing to secure a Champions League spot next season.

Despite the interest of both clubs, the Sun claims that Maddison informed Leicester that he was happy to stay for another season and that he was even open to the prospect of signing a new contract.

Maddison is four years old on her current contract with Leicester, worth around £ 50,000 a week.

The report also states that Maddison enjoys working with Brendan Rodgers and thinks that the boss of the city of Leicester can help him become a regular in England.

Maddison missed a spot on Gareth Southgate's squad for the Nations League finals, but was named to the under-21 British team for Euro 2019 in Italy and San Marino.
