Furious James Milner called Joris Gnagnon "disgrace" after his tackle left Liverpool teenager Ybader Larouci on crutches.
Sevilla defender Gnagnon was ruled out for his shocking kick against the 18-year-old Reds star in the Sunday night friendly.
Larouci was forced to leave the field on a stretcher and was later sighted with one leg between his legs while he was leaving Fenway Park in Boston on crutches.
Jurgen Klopp said after the match that he hoped his injury would not be serious, but midfielder Milner was still boiling.
Milner said: "There were some disgraceful tackles, we know it was a friendly match but we do not see a lot of red cards in a friendly match.
"If you want to make a mistake, pull a shirt. Do not take a boy by the knee. By seeing him again, it's a shame.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was also touched by Gnagnon's actions.
The Dutchman said: "I saw it aside, it's not good.
Especially when it happens against a young man who plays pretty well this season. I think that says a lot about him.
"You just have to deal with it, but you obviously do not want any injuries in a match like this.
"You want to get in shape, you want to find your best level. Obviously, everyone wants to win the match, but the most important thing is to get in shape. I hope for Ybader, it is not so serious.
It was a friendly match that hit hard, Sevilla engaged strongly in a host of challenges.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was stung early by Diego Carlos before Harry Wilson was hit hard by Ever Banega.
Banega then grabbed Wilson with an elbow.
However, Klopp remained a diplomat and refused to criticize La Liga after the 2-1 defeat – despite his anger visibly on the sidelines.
Kop's boss said, "It's way too early in the season to hit the headlines saying what I think about the situation.
"It looks like he's lucky, but we have to wait a bit.
"He could not keep playing but in the locker room, he looks good." Harry got a shot on the cheekbone and his eye, so not too cool, he should be nice too. Is the situation.
"I would love you to write a story about this game without my titles. Whatever I say, it will be the headlines. We can talk about football that is not very good. We could have done it a lot better.

"These things in general, I do not like games too difficult.
"The challenge is there to win the ball that is the only reason. There are rules. I do not want to say anything specific about this game because there will be the titles of "Jurgen Klopp …".
"I still want to spend holidays in Spain."
