Jamie Carragher thinks that Eden Hazard is too good to stay in Chelsea and admits that Luis Suarez had a similar problem before leaving Liverpool to join Barcelona.

Hazard has been closely linked to a move to Real Madrid this summer and Carragher believes the time has come for the Belgian to play alongside Zinedine Zidane.

Meanwhile, Suarez was wanted by Arsenal in 2013 before joining Barcelona a year later.

And Carragher revealed how his former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, had prevented the Uruguayans from moving to Arsenal, saying the Gunners were not good enough.

"I do not think you can stop players from setting up in Real Madrid and Barcelona," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"I think most players see this as the pinnacle and that's what happened in our two clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool.

"I think Hazard is too good for Chelsea at the moment. He is such a good player.

"I think of Luis Suarez when he was in Liverpool.

"I wanted him to stay, but I knew it in my head. It's something I've talked to Steven Gerrard when he almost went to Arsenal.

"In fact, we said," You're too good for Arsenal. If you want to leave, you have to go to Barcelona. "

"I think Hazard is one of the best players in the world and the best players in the world play for your madras and barcelona.

"He won leagues with them, but I think for him, as an individual player, he has to have a CV for Madrid over the next three or four years to finish his career."
