If rumors indicate that Leicester City is aligning so that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is not worried enough for Claude Puel, the Foxes manager was scared off by a superhero on Thursday morning.

Under fire, Puel was probably hoping for respite from recent speculation as he headed for Leicester's training ground with his first-team squad.

However, Jamie Vardy had other ideas and, while he was disguised as Spiderman, the former English striker hid behind a bush before jumping on his unpretentious boss.

It remains to be seen what effect the hi-jinx episode has on the Fox season, but the way Puel has swept the incident suggests that he saw the fun side.

Leicester beat both Chelsea and Manchester City last month, but defeats in Cardiff, Newport and Southampton put strong pressure on the Frenchman.

Leicester is still eighth in the Premier League standings, but ahead of this weekend's clash with the Wolves.

Vardy explained Puel's tactics earlier this season by suggesting they were not getting the most out of him.

Vardy, who has scored seven times in the Premier League this season, said: "It's getting a bit frustrating, but we're moving to a different style of play.

"I think we just have to keep working hard and that will eventually get us going a little faster because when we get into offensive positions, the ball will eventually be selected for some of my races."
