Vincent Janssen finished his career with the finalists in the Champions League, Tottenham, after joining the Mexican Monterrey team.
The transfer of Janssen to Mexico was announced on Tuesday, although the terms of the deal have not been unveiled by any of the clubs.
Tottenham recruited Janssen at AZ Alkmaar for £ 17m in 2016, but the Dutch striker was struggling to settle in the Premier League.
Janssen scored only two goals in 31 Premier League matches for the Spurs, while he managed six in all competitions for three seasons in London.
During his stay in Tottenham, Janssen was loaned to Turkish giant Fenerbahce, where the 25-year-old scored five goals in 18 games in 2017-18.
Janssen arrives in Monterrey, who won his fourth title in the CONCACAF Champions League in May.
