JB Gill explains why he prefers breeding turkeys to fame and refuses the return of JLS

JB Gill has put an end to rumors that a JLS meeting would happen anytime soon, admitting that he prefers turkey breeding to popular success nowadays.

The star of the group of boys decided to change pace five years ago when he left his musical career to create an 11-acre farm in Kent.

JB is now enjoying the simple life with his wife Chle Tangney, his son Ace and his daughter Chiara and says his family could not be happier.

"Although I'm busy almost every day of the year, I like to have more time for myself," JB said in an interview with The Daily Star.

The star, who appears each night this week at Springtime On the Farm on Channel 5, also said that he was not planning a return on stage with his JLS bandmates.

"It would not be a good time for me to take part in a reunion tour, it takes so much time, it would not be good for family obligations," JB said.

But the star insists that he's still close to Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Oritsé Williams, who are close to him, and that they even went to visit his farms to buy turkeys.

"We are trying to catch up as much as possible," he said. "We are a bit like a family, we do not see each other all the time, but we do it for special occasions."

For the moment, JB is filming Springtime On The Farm with co-presenter Adam Henson, Lindsey Chapman of Spring Watch Unsprung and ex-actor Emmerdale Kelvin Fletcher.

The gang will be on Cannon Hall's farm this week at the busiest time of the year.

Like JB, actor Kelvin also said goodbye – he chose to leave soapland in 2016 and pursue a career in driving.

Springtime On The Farm runs from tonight to Friday at 8 pm on Channel 5
