FC Barcelona and Toulouse FC have reached an agreement for the French player Jean-Clair Todibo, with whom Barça had previously agreed to join as of 1 July 2019, would join the Catalan club with immediate effect.
The 19-year-old will sign for the next four and a half seasons until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The center back / defensive midfielder will wear jersey number six, the same number as formerly famous personalities such as Guillermo Amor, Xavi Hernandez, Dani Alves and more recently, Denis Suárez.

The official unveiling of the player will take place on Friday, February 1st with the following events:
Friday 1st February
- 11.30, signing the contract at the President Suñol lounge, during a private ceremony.
- 12:15, photo session on the ground at Camp Nou.
- 13:00, press conference in the press room of Ricard Maxenchs at Camp Nou.
Youth and potential
Jean-Clair Todibo was born December 30, 1999 in Cayenne, capital of French Guiana in South America. The Frenchman played for the FC Lilacs in youth before joining Toulouse FC in 2016. He made his team debut at the start of the 2018/19 season at the age of 18. In total, he made 10 appearances with the French club this season in the starting lineup.
Todibo is a big defender (190cm) who can play center back and also in the center of the midfielder. At the youth level, he was often in the middle of the field because of his ability to play the ball. One of his best qualities is his physical presence and his abilities in the air. Barely 19 years old, the young talent enters FC Barcelona as one of the most promising players in European football.
