Star Wars Jedi star Cameron Monaghan: Fallen Order, a trailer and its release date of November 15, 2019 were revealed at a panel Saturday at Star Wars Celebration Chicago.
A trailer has been found, along with actor Cameron Monaghan, of Shameless and Gotham, who will play Padawan's lead role, Cal Kestis, who escaped Order 66 and is in mortal danger immediately after the events from Star Wars. Episode 3: The revenge of the Sith. The new teaser shows his character on the run, not trusting anyone.
Respawn boss Vince Zampella confirmed Saturday that the game would be a single player scenario, with no multiplayer or microtransactions. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from November 15th.
"Many Star Wars fans, including ourselves, are really interested in the dark, so we wanted to explore this mysterious and dangerous time," said Stig Asmussen, Game Manager at Respawn, as part of the this advert.
The trailer also revealed the second sister, a member of the Inquisitors looking for the Jedi, as well as Purge Troopers based on the Stormtroopers. These soldiers might seem familiar to Star Wars comic fans, as their designs were first created by Respawn and shared with Marvel for inclusion.
Asmussen describes the game as focusing on melee combat, lightsaber and Force, with the main character completing his Jedi training despite his pursuit.
Kestis will not be alone in his adventure because he will have the BD-1 droid by his side and a companion named Céré. Respawn teases that "familiar faces" will also be part of the game. Maybe we could find other surviving Jedi?
And Cal's lightsaber might also be of some interest because it made no sense that it would evolve over the course of history. Beyond that, more information on the Lightsaber and its ownership is kept until the game's release.
The announcement at Star Wars Celebration Chicago of the lack of multiplayer feature or microtransactions, as well as the confirmation of a broader focus on history, is a major reversal the Star Wars Battlefront II fiasco has become in 2017. Although his multiplayer mode and his new solo mode are still highly touted at this year's Star Wars celebration in OrlandoThe game itself has received a mixed reception for its box-style progression system at launch. Battlefront II has since been updated several times, modifying its progress system while adding new Star Wars characters.
