(Gray News) – The bean creator Jelly Belly has ventured into edible marijuana products.

David Klein, who invented the Jelly Belly brand in 1976 but left the company in 1980, has remained active in the confectionery sector for the past 40 years.

He has now launched a company called Spectrum Confections, which has launched a line of jelly candies infused with cannabidiol, or CBD.

CBD is a non-intoxicant marijuana extract, recognized for treating medical conditions such as seizures, inflammation and anxiety. It has become popular in states that have legalized marijuana for medical purposes, according to WebMD.

According to his company's website, Klein – aka The Candyman – told Cannabis Aficionado that he had recently realized the benefits of this excerpt and was wondering: "Is there any jelly bean with CBD?" ? "

"I did not find any," he said.

Klein created Spectrum Confections, which now produces 38 different flavors of CBD-infused jelly beans, including grilled marshmallow, strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon, spicy liquorice and mango.

Candy beans are also available in sugar and acid varieties.

Each bean is infused with 10 mg of CBD.

Klein told Cannabis Aficionado that he did not want to make a health declaration about his new jelly beans, but he was confident his product would "help the world".

And it seems that the world has become aware of it. Jelly candies are currently out of stock, according to the company's website.
