Jeopardy Winner: [Spoiler] Sets a new record for day-to-day earnings

If you do not look Peril!you miss a rising star – and a richer star. Professional sportsman James Holzhauer broke the series record for day-long wins with an impressive total of $ 110,914.

"I've always said I wanted to break the record of a Roger Craig match, and I did it!" Said Holzhauer in a statement. (Craig set the previous record of $ 77,000 in September 2010.)

And this record number holds special significance for Holzhauer: his daughter was born on November 9, 2014 (aka 11/09/14). Pretty wild, right?

The competitor based in Las Vegas has now won four times, with a total cash prize of $ 244,365. Wednesday's episode will see him face two new opponents eager to prevent him from winning a fifth consecutive victory.
