Jesse Lingard explains the significance of celebrating his goal J-L Man Utd

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard revealed exactly where his hand celebration, the J-L brand, was coming from.

England is known for its gesture when it discovers the back of the net – and it spotted the exact moment when the celebration was born.

He revealed how the help of his teammate Marcus Rashford had seen him coming with the hand signal, which fans have been slow to recognize as his initials.

Lingard also revealed how he handled the criticism directed at him for his off-road activities.

He said: "When I was younger, I often blamed myself for doing things off the field, but at the end of the day, I was just me. not to impress anyone.

"It's good to get the message out to people, somebody may want to speak up and maybe be scared, et cetera, so it's more about people being themselves and defending that. they know. "
