Rock veteran will appear to support WWE Raw Champion Ronda Rousey
Joan Jett has been confirmed as a special guest at WWE's annual WrestleMania event next week.
The 35th edition of WrestleMania will be held April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The centerpiece of the event should be the first match for the title "Triple Threat". between WWE Raw champion Ronda Rousey and challengers Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Preparations for this event were further intensified today (March 26th) with the announcement by WWE that Jett will now be performing live at night. She will go on stage to play her single "Bad Reputation" of 1981, while Rousey enters the stage.
"Joan Roll, the rock queen, is a music legend and icon for influential women around the world," said Neil Lawi, executive vice president and general manager of the WWE Music Group, in a statement.
"Her performance at this year's WrestleMania promises to be both exhilarating and inspiring, and we are honored to see her join a distinct list of extraordinary performers who have illuminated the WWE scene."
Jett will follow bands such as Motörhead, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Kid Rock, Diddy, Kelly Machine Gun and Travis Barker playing live at WrestleMania.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that L7 will release its first new album in 20 years on the Jett's Blackheart label.
