Mrs. Lordina Mahama with her grandson
Former President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama, are very happy right now.
This follows the birth of a baby that the former president described as his grandson.
Addressing social media to announce the birth of the little boy, Mahama shared pictures of himself and the former first lady with the newborn.
On one of the photos, we could see the former president in white sitting next to the baby who was sleeping in a glbad courtyard at the hospital.
"Grand Dad's Duties Welcome, Nhyira Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Nana Kofi Gaisie," Mahama subtitled the picture on Instagram.
In the other picture, the former first lady was carrying the baby in her arms as she watched him with excitement.
Looking at the captions of the two beautiful pictures, the newborn, named Nhyira, was born to a Yaka, a Mahama lady and his wife are considered their daughter.
Mahama's post has since elicited a lot of reaction from its supporters. Many people have congratulated him, while others have already predicted that the boy would become a strong member of the NDC in the future.
@kyabebs congratulated the former president so that he became a grandfather: "Grandfather John Congratulations Sir.n # We know that your daughter will have the best grandfather of your generation."
@issahbukari also sent a congratulatory message and thanked Allah for the new addition to the Mahama family: "We thank Allah for the new family member." Congratulations.
@juliusthevoice brought a political twist to the newborn's life: "A strong NDC man is welcome in the family."
