Johnsonville, LLC, is recalling at least 48,000 pounds of raw minced pork pies likely to be contaminated with black rubber, the USDA reported Friday.

The USDA has issued a Clbad I recall on ground frozen quick-frozen pork patties wrapped on September 27, 2018, October 17, 2018 and October 18, 2018.

Clbad I is the highest clbadification level of USDA recalls:

It is a hazardous health situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will result in serious and harmful consequences for health or death.

The following products are likely to be recalled:

  • 24 ounces (1.5 lbs.) In carton containing Johnsonville Grillers Cheese & BACON CHEDDAR frozen with "Best Flavor of: 07/24/2019".
  • 24 oz. (1.5 lb.) plastic bag in a box of frozen "Johnsonville Grillers, CHEDDAR CHEESE & BACON FLAVOR" with the indication "Best Taste by: 8/13/2019".
  • 24 ounces (1.5 lb.) a plastic bag in a box of frozen "Johnsonville Grillers, CHEDDAR CHEESE & BACON FLAVOR" with the indication "Best Taste by: 8/14/2019".

The product being recalled is marked with the establishment number.34225"Printed on the cardboard and under the date" Best taste by ". These items were shipped to retail outlets nationwide, according to the press release provided by the USDA.

The Food Safety and Food Inspection Department is concerned that these products may still be in freezers and inform consumers. do not eat them:

"These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase"
