The Director General of Jomoro Municipality in Western Region, Hon. Ernest Kofie donated more than 800 pieces of furniture to the Municipal Education Department for distribution to local elementary schools.
The gesture is to create an atmosphere that is conducive to teaching and learning, while ensuring that schools are well placed for appropriate learning in the clbadroom.
The furniture includes 400 mono offices and 400 double offices.
The 800 pieces of furniture were received by Mr. George Blay Morkeh, Budget Director on behalf of the Municipal Director of Education.
The MCE, which has a great interest in raising the level of education in Jomoro and making education very attractive, recently renovated the Municipal Education Bureau of Jomoro and entrusted it to the Education Department of Jomoro. Ghana, Jomoro.

Speaking at the colorful ceremony that took place at the Municipal Assembly on Friday, June 7, 2019, the MCE, the Hon. Ernest Kofie revealed that there were many applications requiring a lot of things, but he found it necessary to prioritize the basic needs of students, which is a major problem.
According to the MCE, "Even if we are financially disabled and if you look at the number, you may think that the number is small, it is the budget of last year. This year, there is a shipment and there would surely be another project on the desks, hexagonal chairs for kindergarten would also be included in the next shipment of supplies.
He said that every student in every school under his jurisdiction has the right to sit down and feel comfortable learning.
He therefore advises students to take their studies seriously to enable them to take advantage of the Free SHS initiated by the NPP government.
For his part, the budget director of the Jomoro Municipal Education Department, who represented the director of education, Mr. George Blay Morkeh, revealed that his boss had been badigned to a schedule while as important as it had brought out of the city, hence its absence.
Mr. Morkeh stated that this donation was the first time in five years since the Municipal Assembly had witnessed such a donation.
According to him, "the quality of education is the quality of the state, we can not talk about quality without investing in education".
He added that this office was a relief for both students and school authorities.
Mr. Ben Egan Mensah of the Jomoro Municipal Coordination Council attended the ceremony; the police commander of the Jomoro division, ECP, Mr. Akwasi Kamkam-Doam; the president, the hon.
