Ghanaian defender Jonathan Mensah is committed to helping the Columbus Crew do better in the upcoming Major League Soccer season.
Mensah played a crucial role in the club's run to the semifinals of the Eastern Conference last season.
And before the start of the new season in March, the player who was named Black and Gold defenseman in 2018 said the goal was to improve the club's position in 2019.
"My personal preparation was better last year," he told Mbadive Report. "The experience of 2017 has helped. I knew the league better and could prepare myself accordingly. I brought everything I had and went to every workout trying to do my best.
"As a team, we just want to stick to what we left last year. We just want to keep moving forward and improving. I can improve every aspect of my game and that's the goal. We want to do more. "
Mensah is in his third season at the club after joining Russian club Anzhi Makachakala in 2017.
