Joseph Aidoo thanked Genk supporters after sealing his $ 5 million transfer to Celta Vigo, the Spanish La Liga team, on Thursday.
The 23-year-old's decision was confirmed by both teams after Aidoo signed a five-year deal.
He spent two years with the Belgians, making 65 appearances and scoring four goals.
Aidoo played a key role as Genk was crowned Belgian champion last season.

"It was a great experience to win the 2019 Belgian Championship with an excellent team, coaches and all the staff who make everything work in Genk.
"I will now also be a support to encourage future Genk games. I look forward to a new start with Celta Vigo and I am open to the experience and growth to come, "he added.
His exploits last season earned him to be called into the Black Stars team for the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
