Joseph Yammin
Winner of the Ashanti region president, National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant, an opposition party, Joseph Yammin was contacted by Dela Coffie, a party activist for being behind the troubles of the region.
Dela Coffie accuses Mr. Joseph Yammin of causing the recent internal clashes in the Ashanti regional CND office, which killed one and injured another, calling Yammin a "staunch loser".
His comments follow a shootout in the party office in the regional capital Ashanti, which resulted in the death of one person, Wasiu, who has since been buried.
"The violence in the NDC in Kumasi … was an obvious internal fight. This is the culmination of several months of power play – a person who has lost his candidacy for the position of regional president believes he has the right to undermine the legitimate and elected president. This guy set up a parallel structure in Kwadaso, sabotaging and undermining the regional president. The so-called Hawks are his creation.
"Let's stop having juvenile arguments about things that do not make sense to the brains."
"And do not have the inclination. These guys have all right JM activists of the last days. They are his henchmen, and everywhere they incite violence and threaten anyone who chooses to stand up to their cult leader. "
"Well, let's hope and pray. Opana calls the diplomatic community for a new video of this latest episode.
Obviously, the chickens ("boot for boot") come home to perch. It's quite deplorable …
According to an eyewitness, the badailant, badociated with an NDC militia, the Hawks, allegedly shot at the NDC man three times during an altercation. "He shot him first in the leg while he was running and twice in the chest at close range while he was lying vulnerable," said the witness.
A statement from the party and later from the Ashanti region police confirmed the shooting and death, naming four suspects like NDC Hawks.
"The regrettable incident occurred while a meeting between the National President, the Secretary General, an Assistant Secretary General and the Regional Executive Committee was underway," the statement said.
