A group calling themselves Young Democrats for Effective Leadership, Central region, said they suspected Josephine Panyin Mensah was forced to make a false confession in her kidnapping case.

The 28-year-old was arrested by Takoradi police on Friday, September 24, 2021, following a confession that her alleged pregnancy and kidnapping was a hoax.

Although the confession clarified the suspicions of many Ghanaians who followed the story, Young Democrats for Effective Leadership alleged that there was higher power at work.

In a press release from the group, he says he suspects Josephine Panyin Mensah has been threatened to falsely confess that she was neither pregnant nor kidnapped as previously reported by her family.

“We (YDFEL, C / R) believe this lady was forced by a high authority to make a false confession just to cover up the case. External threats to her life might force her to say something in order to be free. The threat and the pain can be seen in the eyes of this lady, her life is in danger and it can only come from a higher human authority, ”said the group’s press release signed by its president Nana Adjei.

The statement added: “Before this incident, it seemed like unless the police publicly posted their negative results or that a professional doctor should have come out to post the results. She needs a mental assessment and a professional psychologist who will help her get back to normal before any further questioning by the independence team.

Meanwhile, the Young Democrats for Effective Leadership also called for an independent investigation of Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah into his possible involvement in the Takoradi kidnapping plot.

YOUNG DEMOCRATS FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP (YDFEL), CENTRAL REGION, CAP CAOST.

PRESS RELEASE.

The Takoradi Saga – the pregnancy abduction saga, exposes the Western Regional Minister, the hold of the government status quo on national security, the media and the public.

Young Democrats for Effective Leadership, Central region believe that a better private investigative team should be deployed to conduct all preliminary investigations.

Power can be a deadly weapon when, in the hands of an indulgence, something must be seriously wrong.

The confession not only exposes the lady and her family, but also the regional minister of W / R, government intrusion, the influence of W / R police and the media.

We believe all should be fully investigated, maybe they all conspired to stage this kidnapping with the following rationale.

The Western Regional Minister claims he gave the kidnappers a ransom of GH ¢ 3,000.

Police also denied allegations by the Western Regional Minister that he gave them a ransom of GH ¢ 3,000 to be paid to the alleged kidnappers of Josephine Panyin Mensah, 28, the woman at the center of the kidnapping saga and pregnancies in Takoradi. .

Could it also be that she received money to say this in order to protect the authorities?

Dr Joseph Tambil of Effia Nkwanta Hospital told Empire News that the facility should release the victim’s medical report. This goes against police reports that the hospital issued the victim’s medical reports. So now the question is, which doctor or hospital confirmed and concluded that this victim was faking a pregnancy?

We (YDFEL, C / R) believe this lady was forced by a high authority to make a false confession just to cover up the case. External threats to her life might force her to say something in order to be free. threat and pain can be seen in this lady’s eyes, her life is in danger and it can only come from a higher human authority.

Before this incident, it seemed like unless the police publicly posted his negative results or a professional doctor should have come out to post the results. She needs a mental assessment and a professional psychologist who will help her get back to normal before any further questioning by the independence team.

We wouldn’t be surprised to glean another update that’s totally different from the last one.

In fact, young people are demoralized and dejected here in Ghana due to the way the higher authority intrudes on the media and many instances which see it exposing the incompetence of the current government.

Many Ghanaians are now losing confidence in Ghanaian police and national security due to government interference in any issue that arises.

Young Democrats for effective leadership, the Central region is therefore calling for an appropriate investigation by an independent private body to investigate this matter.
