The West Indies fast-thrower, Alzarri Joseph, had a dream start in the Indian Premier League on Saturday, after beating the best statistics in his history, the 6-12, in the T20 tournament.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Mumbai team in place of injured New Zealander Adam Milne, delivered a brilliant 3.4 win to help his team beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad leader by 40 points.
Joseph beat Pakistan's Sohail Tanvir's previous best 6-14 bowling result for Rajasthan Royals at the inaugural IPL in 2008.
Joseph, a slender paceman who made his debut test in 2016 and won 10 wickets in the recent home triumph of the Caribbean Series 2-1 against England, was named man of the match.
"It's a dream start, I can not get better than that, I just wanted to follow the plans and when they said I was playing, I decided to stay simple and stay myself. "said Joseph.
"When I got my first wicket, I had a muted party since I focused on the game we needed to win. The boys play really well, a lot of work, so all we have to do is show them what we can do. "
