Melbourne City boss Warren Joyce praised Jamie Maclaren and Shayon Harrison after both arrivals from the transfer window were impressed by a 1-1 draw between Hyundai A-League and Adelaide United Saturday night.
Australian striker Maclaren and Harrison, on loan from Tottenham, teamed up with exciting young Lachlan Wales in a new three-front front line for City.

Joyce expects her two new boys to improve again and was happy after Maclaren canceled Craig Goodwin's forward at AAMI Park.
"The two entered and quickly settled in with the group," he said.
"You have an Australian international and a youngster from the Premier League. They want to work, they are just humble.
"They want to work, they want to help the group. They give a boost to the players – two other players who want to do it.
"They were very successful."
Goodwin's 43rd-minute header – his ninth goal of the season in the A-League Hyundai – briefly extended United's lead over City by four points in the fourth-to-fifth battle before Maclaren's intervention.
"A sucker just before half-time – that [was a] test [for] the character of the guys, again, test their confidence, really, go in 1-0 [down] at home in a big game for us, "added Joyce.
"In the second half, we thought we had a lot of spirit and created opportunities.
"I think we were worth coming back into the game and led the game towards the end."
United's boss, Marco Kurz, felt his team had been overrun by City and said he was delighted to score a point.
"If you concede a goal that way [in the second half]you are a little disappointed, "he said.
"But in the end, I think that in the second half, we played badly.
"I think we started well. We played 30 good minutes.
"Then we lost a little control of the game, but we scored the goal.
"In the end, the draw for us is a good result."
United striker Nikola Mileusnic faces a nervous wait after being taken on an injured ankle stretcher.
"It does not look good," Kurz admitted afterwards.
