#JoyFPL: How to prepare for blank gameweeks

[ad_1]

Manchester United's win against Chelsea on Monday night and the draw in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup means we finally know the full extent of Blank Gameweek 31.

As a result of the clash with the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, only five Premier League matches will be held this weekend and ten clubs will not have a league match. For now, here's what it looks like:

Blank Gameweek 27 – four Premier League teams do not play

Blank Gameweek 31 – five Premier League matches will be played.

Blank Gameweek 33 – between six and eight Premier League matches will be played.

For some time now, we have been advocating a wait-and-see strategy and we stress the importance of the fifth round of the FA Cup, as the results of the draws of the cup of the past weekend have such an impact on Blank Gameweek 31 and beyond.

However, it is a good time to evaluate our options. So we looked at some chip management strategies that Fantasy managers might consider for weeks and months to come.

There is no good or bad way to deploy chips in FPL – at least not before the recoil appears – and there are strategies other than those in the video below that could prove more effective in the long run. As always, the most favorable strategy differs from one manager to another and may depend on your current configuration. Owuraku Ampofo and Enam Kunutsor, FPL expert, give some guidance on how to tackle this difficult period of the FPL season.
