Prosecutors insisted that, contrary to what Judge Twumasi Appiah claims, an indictment was before him at the material time, he ignored that decision.
State and police prosecutors said the judge had made the decision despite their protests.

The suspect was flown from Tamale to Accra and deported to China without prosecution.
