NEW YORK – A Brooklyn judge on Thursday rejected a motion to overturn a recent mandatory measles immunization order issued by New York City.
The judge sided with the municipal health authorities who made the order last week, saying it was a rare but necessary step to contain the most a serious measles epidemic that has hit the city since 1991. This epidemic infected at least 329 people, Orthodox Jewish Communities in the Brooklyn neighborhood.
