Jurgen Klopp congratulates Yasser Larouci for his performance against Jadon Sancho in the Liverpool defeat at Dortmund

Jurgen Klopp congratulated Ybader Larouci on his performance against Jadon Sancho in the friendly defeat of Borussia Dortmund.

The European champions were beaten 3 to 2 in Indiana Friday night in the first game of their pre-season tour in the United States.

Harry Wilson canceled the opening of Paco Alcacer but Liverpool took a 3-1 lead in the second half thanks to Thomas Delaney and Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Rhian Brewster scored a penalty 15 minutes from the end, but Liverpool failed to find the equalizer.

After the match, Klopp was questioned about Sancho 's abilities and, while congratulating the English international, the Liverpool coach pointed out that Liverpool' s back side, Larouci, had played against the winger of Dortmund.

"He's an exceptional talent, but he's not the only one in England at the moment.

"This age group already has some. Rhian Brewster is the same age. [And there is] Raheem Sterling, for example.

"I do not want to forget any winger, but there are many talents; young and very very promising players in England.

"The potential of Jadon Sancho is not in doubt. His speed and body control at the highest speed are his main strength.

"Being good in big and small spaces makes you a very interesting player – and that's what Jadon is. Ybader [Larouci] our 18-year-old left-back, played against one of the world's greatest football talents and played very well all night long.

"The field helped a bit, but he still did very well."
