Jurgen Klopp hinted that he was not giving much hope to Manchester United to give Liverpool a favor at the title race on Wednesday.
Manchester United, Manchester City, at Old Trafford, is the upcoming match of City in the battle for the Premier League, which has extended Sunday, when Klopp's team won a 2-0 win at Cardiff City.
A superb shot by Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner allowed the Reds of South Wales to qualify for Red Bull, now focusing on the Manchester Derby.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's players will enter the match at the end of a shambolic series at Everton on Sunday, after losing 4-0.
After Liverpool's win, Klopp suggested not to watch this Wednesday night, after which the Liverpool host had already relegated Huddersfield to Anfield on Friday.
"I think I will look there is nothing else to do," he said via Liverpool Echo. "I hope I can avoid that, we have no influence.
"It does not seem at the moment that Man Utd can really … what was the result today? 3-0? 4-0?
"So we'll see, City will be ready and we'll see if United will be too.
"It's a normal match, it's a game they have to play. We played there and drew.
"We had to play that game at Manchester United when the moment was a lot better. It was a 0-0.
"If United scores a point, whatever, and we beat Huddersfield before going to Newcastle and even half think we have it, then we have a shot there, that's all hard .
"We just have to stay focused on our business. That has worked very well so far and I do not see why we should change that. "
Klopp added that his team is still focusing on his own season, which includes a semi-final of the Champions League against Barcelona next week.
"We are motivated because we play for this club because we want to win games, we enjoy the race with our fans," he said.
"But of course we have no influence on other games, we can play our games.
"Our next game against Huddersfield will be tough.
"People will probably ask me if I think of Barcelona or bulls like that.
"We will be completely focused on Huddersfield, but in the meantime we have to train, recover and rest."
