Jurgen Klopp insists that Liverpool will not try to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona again.

The Brazilian left Anfield for Barcelona in 2014 on a £ 140m contract, but had a tough time at Camp Nou.

There have been rumors that Liverpool is looking to sign Coutinho again this summer, with Jamie Carragher urging Klopp to act for his former number 10.

But Klopp is not convinced and hopes that Coutinho will find his best again at Camp Nou.

"In general, Phil Coutinho is helping every team in the world 100%, but it's not for that," Klopp told ESPN FC.

"I like Phil, I think he's a fantastic footballer and everything else, but it would be a big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big money and it is not our year for that.

"This is just not possible. As I said, doing it would improve every team, including us, but I really hope that he will find his luck in Barcelona."

"Or maybe he found it there We have a contact, but not that close contact that I know exactly how he is doing, but the rest is just newspaper talk and things like that.

"If all was true, what newspapers write about me, wow! If it's similar to what they write about me, I'd say that he's completely happy in Barcelona and wants to sign a new six-year contract or whatever. "
