Jurgen Klopp admits that Liverpool will not have the "biggest transfer window of all time" with a quiet summer that announces for Liverpool.
Brazilian duo Alisson and Fabinho, along with Naby Keita, have been among the most prominent players at Anfield last summer. Klopp added a team that would win the Champions League and finish just one point behind Manchester City, Premier League champion.
But so far this summer, the young Sepp Van Den Berg is the latest to come.
And with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in shape again after an injury ravaged by the 2018-1919 season and the young Rhian Brewster making immediate impression during the pre-season, Klopp says that big-name arrivals are unlikely.
"Rhian Brewster, (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain did not play last year, all the young boys did not play for us last year," Klopp said.
"The transfer market is open – we'll see what we do, but I do not think it will be the biggest transfer window ever."
Brewster and Divock Origi, who signed a new contract with the club on Wednesday, were among the scorers as Liverpool began their pre-season campaign with a victorious victory with a 6-0 win over Tranmere.
