It's very much fun to go back and watch the interview of actor Jussie Smollett in ABC's "Good Morning America" in February, in which he tells of his alleged "attack" by two supporters of White Trump, if only because it is like watching a pathological real life liar in the eyes of a safe distance.
At one point in the interview, Smollett remembers with enthusiasm the way he had "fought back" against these badailants and that this should serve as an inspiration to LGBT youth. "I want them to see that I have fought back," he said about his hope that the police will retrieve a video footage of the night meeting. "And I want a little homobadual boy who may look to see that I fought to get in. They ran away, not me."

There was actually a surveillance camera near which "the attack" had occurred, although the police stated that she was facing a different direction. This is probably for the better, depending on Smollett 's ability to act. It turns out that one of the "strikers", Abel Osundairo, is a trained fighter and he participated in a boxing match on Thursday. He knocked out his opponent in the first round.
In contrast, the Chicago police stated that Smollett had withdrawn from his alleged confrontation with Osundairo with only minor skin abrasions and that they were probably self-inflicted.
In other words, Smollett wants the public to believe that his badailants are white (both black) and that he is almost the only one to have confronted them (even though one of them is a competitive boxer with " a nice straight hook ").
It will be interesting to watch Smollett's defense – he has maintained his innocence – explain this to the court. He was charged with 16 counts of disorderly behavior for simulating the entire incident, which was reported for the first time in late January.
