The executive producers of "Empire" released Friday a statement in which they declared that Jussie Smollett's character, Jamal, would be removed from the last two episodes of the season "in order to avoid further disturbances on the set." Smollett was released on bail after being accused of falsifying a police report, but the star maintains his innocence, arguing with the cast of "The Empire" to make him believe his story, according to a report published.
