"Just not enough" – Many fans of Ipswich Town have their say on the player's departure

Jordan Roberts became the second player in Ipswich Town to pbad a loan to Lincoln City, one of the leaders of League Two, in the footsteps of his winger Danny Rowe.

Roberts left Crawley this summer for Portman Road, but his chances were limited once his manager, Paul Hurst, was sacked. He started six league games, making six more outings of the bench and providing help.

He has never settled in Suffolk and has now been sent to Danny Cowley's Imperial for the remainder of the season, less than a week after Danny Rowe's trip.

Rowe had an immediate impact on Lincoln, helping them to win 1-0 against their local Grimsby rivals on Saturday, before taking a brace against Yeovil on Tuesday night to send them six points in advance.

Although some Tractor Boys fans have recognized his talents, Roberts does not seem to be such a popular character. The overriding message of supporters on social networks, both Ipswich and the former Crawley Club, is that a second-level change has always been a step away.

Here's what they say about the move …

The championship was probably a step away. Will do well again in Ligue 2.

Clbad player at this level.

Decent when he played Crawley good enough to play in the water one, I think the championship was a bit of a boost for him, but he's going to break it for you guys good luck Jordan

The loan makes sense. He may have a role to play next season, but he will have no time to play for the rest of the season.

Nope. Just not good enough, the effort should be a given.

Ready, a good idea, even if I have sympathy for all Hursts
lower league new boys. They probably thought joining a bigger club was a positive move and they ended up being pushed aside. I understand why but quite shocking 5/6 new players do not play.

Logic.
Did he have a job for us when he was asked to play a role in Lge 1?

No surprise Jordan Roberts leaving. No fault on his part, but he is at best a Ligue 2 player. #itfc
