The teenager made his memorable debut for Azzurri since he became the youngest player to find the net for his country for over 60 years

The first start of Moise Kean in Italy was certainly memorable since he saw him becoming the youngest Azzurri scorer for more than 60 years.

The 19-year-old Juventus striker received his first senior cap in November, recording the final 28 minutes of a 1-0 win against the United States.

Injuries limited options for Italian head coach Roberto Mancini in attack for the March games, but said Kean was ready for a spot in the starting lineup before the Euro qualifying match 2020 against Finland.

Publisher's choice

Mancini did well by picking Kean from the start of Saturday's contest, and the teenager rewarded his manager for his faith.

The striker sealed Italy's victory at Dacia Arena after finding the back of the net in the 74th minute of the match to give the Azzurri a 2-0 win.

Nicolo Barella had given Italy the advantage with a goal scored in the seventh minute to allow the Mancini team to take advantage.

Kean's insurance scorer not only helped Italy to win three points in their first Euro qualifying match, but also earned them a bit of history.

At only 19 years and 23 days, the teenager became the second youngest scorer in Italy in the history of the country.

The only player in Italian history to have scored a younger goal is Bruno Nicole, aged 18 and 253 days.

It's another very good month for Kean, who scored his first goal of the season in the Serie A on March 8, winning Juventus' 4-1 win over Udinese.

He had already lent four goals to Hellas Verona last season in the Italian high-end and scored his first goal in Juventus during the 2016-17 campaign.

Kean hopes to have another chance to impress on Tuesday as Italy attempt to win two wins in two qualifying matches against Liechtenstein in Parma.
