Kevin Boateng purges indefinite suspension of Black Stars
Former Ghanaian international Sola Ayew wants to be suspended Kevin-Prince Boateng is recalled to the national team when he is deemed necessary to help the Black Stars at the next Africa Cup of Nations.
The new Barcelona rookie was absent from an indefinite suspension for "insulting" coach James Kwesi Appiah at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
According to the Ghana Football Association, the attacker must formally apologize for the incident before a reminder can be considered.
"I continue to say that we should call Kevin-Prince Boateng because we do not need pastors or imams to play football," said Ayew, as reported by the Ghana Guardian .
"We should put our differences aside and manage it.
"Who told you that footballers [are to just kowtow to everything]?
"If he wants to help us win the Afcon, let us bring him."
The Ghana coach, James Kwesi Appiah, said he was ready to remind Boateng a reminder before Afcon 2019, though he had to apologize.
