KAIPTC Progressing on Go-To Global Think Tank Ranking Index 2020 Report

In the Global Go-To Think Tank Ranking Index for 2020, the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC) became the second highest ranked African think tank in the 2020 category of best think tanks on foreign policy and international affairs. .

The Center classified 85^e after the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS) in Egypt, ranked 35th^e. In total, the category included five (5) African think tanks out of an overall ranking of 156 institutions from 49 countries.

The Global Go-To Think Tank Ranking Index is produced annually by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

The Think Tank Index is the result of an international survey of academics, who helped rank think tanks using a set of criteria developed by the TTCSP.

The KAIPTC has overtaken institutions such as the South African Institute of International Affairs, the Asia Society Policy Institute (US), the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research (AEI) (US) and Amnesty International in the UK, which ranked 97th, 103rd and 104th respectively, to name a few.

Over the years, the Center has been featured in the Index Report as one of the top international think tanks on foreign policy, strengthening the reputation, visibility and credibility of the Center in public policy globally. , as a center of excellence for research in the sub-region and Africa as a whole.
