After conceding a deserved point in each of his first three starts of the season, Tanaka was overturned on his last start by the White Sox and conceded the loss after allowing five runs in seven hits in 4.0 innings. He achieved his best performance in his previous round in Houston with six innings of one point to earn his second consecutive non-decision victory. Kansas City's Lucas Duda is 3 points out of 9, a pair of home runs and a brace against Tanaka, who has a 6.00 medal in two games against Kansas City.
