In 2015, Karl Lagerfeld (September 10, 1933 * – February 19, 2019) was in Toronto to promote a project related to condominiums. He spoke to the CBC about his first visit to Canada, his desire to create and the reason why no one can learn from Karl Lagerfeld other than himself.
Karl Lagerfeld was known to be the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel (from 1983 until his death), as well as creative director of the Italian fashion house Fendi for fashion and leather goods, as well as for his own eponymous brand. He was known around the world for his white hair, black sunglbades, fingerless gloves and starched high necks.
* There is an enigma around the designer born in Germany that even his age was a mysterious point for decades, he would have had two birth certificates, one dated 1933 and the other from 1938.
In 2013, Lagerfeld told the French magazine "Paris Match" that he was born in 1935 but that in 2019, his badistant still did not know how to tell the truth. He liked to "tell the Associated Press" to blur the tracks of his year of birth – that's part of the character. "
"It's not that I'm lying, it's that I do not owe the truth to anyone," he told French Vogue in an interview.
