Karpowership Ghana Company Limited has reorganized the Tema Municipal Library, the only library serving the academic world in Tema.
Prior to the renovation, the library had no development in terms of its condition since its construction in 2000.
At the inaugural ceremony of corporate communication of the Karpowership Ghana Library, Sandra Amarquaye said that the renovation of the library by Karpowership Ghana was crucial and went hand in hand with the company's goals of influencing the life in the society in which it operates.

She said the project was Karpowership's own way of saying goodbye to the Tema community, which had hosted it for three years, as the company was feverishly preparing to move its 470 MW power to the naval base. from Sekondi next month to use native natural gas in the western enclave.
She explained that the people of Tema had been continuously supporting their operations since their inception in 2015 and that they had been their home thanks to the hospitality offered by the community.

Mr. Hayford Siaw, Director General of the Ghana Library Authority, thanked Karpowership for its social interventions.
He said: "The goal of the Ghana Library Authority is to ensure that all the libraries we have are in line with modern standards. He stressed that it was important that younger generations be encouraged to cultivate the habit of reading.
