Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William celebrated Prince George's sixth birthday last week and posted some great photos of the third nomination. Now that the little prince is on vacation in the summer, the Cambridge family, including Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, is about to take some sun on the Caribbean island of Mustique. However, this exotic island, known for being Princess Margaret's glamor scene, drew Kate into the hot water once when the queen criticized her love for her luxury lifestyle.
Royal author Katie Nicholl, in her 2010 biography "William and Harry," tells how, in 2008, Kate drew the critics and attracted the Queen's attention for her exotic vacation.
Mrs. Nicholl writes, "If she was not with William at Balmoral, the couple were skiing or spending their holidays at Mustique.
"Kate was there so often that the press dubbed her" Queen of Mustique, "a title that once belonged to Princess Margaret.
"Britain was now in recession and such frivolous displays of wealth were unpleasant for the Queen.
"Despite her age, she is one of the hardest working members of the royal family and the fact that a future family member does not have a full-time job was unacceptable to her.
"While the rest of the world speculated that a pledge was on the horizon for William and Kate, the Queen thought that an ad should be postponed until Kate was settled in a career."
A source told the author, "Her Majesty is of the opinion that if Kate is one day William's wife, then she needs a decent job.
"Moving from one five-star resort to another is not a prerequisite for a young woman likely to become a queen."

"She was chatting with a friend and asked," What exactly is Kate doing? "
"It was a pretty good question."
Prince William had taken Kate to the island before, but in 2008, the duchess spent Christmas there in William was in Sandringham for the holiday season, as the royal tradition dictates.
Royal author Marcia Moody, in her 2013 book "Kate", written: "Caribbean Island has become a Middleton favorite with its old-fashioned charm – and the fact that it's totally private."
The beautiful island, which is part of the Grenadines, is wholly owned by a private company and served by a private airline.
Princess Margaret received ten acres of land on the island as a wedding present and built her famous villa Les Jolies Eaux.
William and Kate would have spent a "babymoon" before the arrival of Prince George on the island and now take the habit of taking their growing offspring there.
A royal source told Fabulous Digital: "They go back to Mustique.
"It's incredibly private and incredibly understated but not remote.
"They know and trust the staff who work there and they are creatures of habit.
"Kate used to go there, the Middleton went there. The family loves it.
