Ms. Middleton, 64, owns a party company called Party Pieces that organizes hen nights and various parties. After starting the business three decades ago, a number of former employees interviewed by The Mail on Sunday said that there was another side to Ms. Middleton. An employee claimed to have received 71 emails from the business woman in one day. Other former staff members claimed that she would click with her fingers to get their attention when she was under pressure.
Some staff said that the sound of the Range Rover outside the office made them feel comfortable.
Others claimed to have repeated the same thing after working in a "stressful" environment that has worsened over the last year, as the company struggled to compete in the market with major brands.
Earlier this month, it appeared that Party Pieces had to lay off staff because of fears for the future.
Although Middleton is not trying to take advantage of her daughter's royal status, staff said sales had "skyrocketed" after Kate and William's wedding in 2011.

A spokesman for the company said that its structure was being "reviewed to align with its financial goals."
In an interview last year, Ms. Middleton said how much she loved the holidays and loved decorating her house with Christmas trees.
However, a former staff member said the office was empty for the end of year celebrations.
However, Kate's father, Michael Middleton, who deals with the financial side of the business, is seen as a mediator in conflict.
The staff describes him as a father figure, a shoulder on which to cry and a "charming guy".
In an interview last year, Ms. Middleton said, "If I behave as usual, it would be great because that's what I am."
She then added that the business was still a "big family affair".
