Prince George and Princess Charlotte may not have the most typical childhood, but Kate Middleton and Prince William strive to give their children a "normal" experience.

Middleton recently visited the Scout headquarters to learn about the latest program of the youth movement for children ages four, five and six. Kate and her sister Pippa were both Brownies so they adapted well during her visit. In addition, Kate was a Scout volunteer when she and William lived on the island of Anglesey in North Wales at the time of their marriage.
"She used her experience as a sailor to help them tie," a local Scout source told Middleson when Middleton volunteered. "She has been involved in game management and arts and crafts activities. … We also pitched tents inside during one of the sessions and she remembered having planted it. "
She later became Patron of the Scout Organization in 2012. As a Godmother, she helped recruit more volunteers.
Upon arriving at Scout Headquarters last week, Middleton was greeted with a bouquet of flowers and a couple of kids who were eager to show their badges.

At headquarters, Middleton said she would like to hire Prince George and Princess Charlotte for the young beaver scouts. She told the young leaders that she would love her five- and three-year-olds to follow in her footsteps.
"She said that she would like them to go into the community of scouts because she likes what it stands for – it's a very open and inclusive way of living," she said. Lauren Noble, 14, who toured Kate, reported People. "She said it would be a good thing for them to get involved."

In addition to discussing with young leaders her hope of involving Prince George and Princess Charlotte in their new youth program, Middleton also explored a stick shelter, collected leaves and branches, and helped paint the hand a tree in order to mark the centenary of the Scout headquarters.
"She was completely involved in painting by hand and ended up with a green hand," said People, 16-year-old Kameron Liddar, who works in a group of scouts in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. "As a mom, you can see that she has the talents. She was very friendly to them and knew what to do with them. She was not afraid to get a little dirty.
Middleton also explained to 17-year-old Tahseen Patel that Scouts were allowing children to learn about new people and cultures.
"She said that she would like her kids to get involved and that you're getting so much skill for the scouts' life," Patel said. "I told him about the mosque and the importance of the harmonious integration of religion and scouting and the need to learn about each other's religion and to unite with one another."
