Speaking about the preparation for Kumud Raina's role, Katrina Kaif said during the chat: "I have had two months to prepare myself for the role and have worked extremely hard . Ali was very very clear at least on the look of the character and once we cracked the physicality and the hair, it helped us a lot. The character was extremely well written, very strong, a woman who was fighting in a world of men. Once the structure was in place, it was to prepare as much as possible, to read the scenes and to repeat with Ali and that his trainer also helped me. "

Priyanka Chopra has been announced as the heroine of Bharat in April 2018 but she left the film three months later. She left the film as the filming schedule clashed with the dates of her wedding. Speaking of the release of Priyanka, Ali Abbas Zafar told PTI: "Priyanka understood it and we understand it, we thought we could collaborate again in another film, everything was very happy."

Bharat, based on the drama of the Korean War A hymn to my father, also Tabu stars, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff.
