The new Patriotic Party MP rejected charges that he was suspected of murdering an undercover investigator several months after demanding his beating.
"They want to distract the police so that they focus on me so that the same people who committed the murder run away," Kennedy Agyapong said in an interview with Asempa FM on Thursday.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an undercover investigator, was killed by gunmen Wednesday night in Madina, Accra. He was the badociate of award-winning investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who heads the private investigator Tiger Eye PI.

But by clarifying his words, the deputy of Assin Central declared that he was only demanding his beating if Ahmed might come to the premises of the NET 2 television channel owned by the politician.
