Kenyan police announced the arrest of three people in the capital, Nairobi, for possession of fake $ 10 million.
Inspectors said Thursday that the three suspects at Fedha Estate were arrested after being informed of their operation.
The suspects would have produced counterfeit money in a house belonging to one of the suspects.
In a statement, police said: "Some chemicals that are thought to be used to process the currency have also been found in the homes of suspects."
The suspects must be brought to court in Nairobi on Friday.

The police also gave details of the suspects under 30 years old.
The police statement said: "The three; Joshua Odhiambo (19), Jane Ogenda (20) and Dickson Ombaso (27) were also found in possession of a fake vehicle registration plate and an IPad carrying the 39 GOK label. "
In March this year, Kenyan police also arrested six people for depositing fake $ 20 million banknotes at a branch of Barclays Bank in Nairobi, the capital.
Last year, another arrest occurred after three men caught more than $ 10 million in counterfeit money.
Among those arrested were a Kenyan and two Chadians. The police said they also have counterfeit euro banknotes.
