Hong Kong, Friday January 15, 2021 – Kerry Logistics Network Limited (“ Kerry Logistics Network ”; stock code 0636.HK) opened a logistics center in the Cangzhou Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Hebei Province, China, under the umbrella of Kerry IMS Chemical Logistics to seize the potential of the chemical logistics market. The logistics center was opened and put into operation on January 8.
Kerry IMS Chemical Cangzhou Logistics Center was developed to strengthen the service capacity of Kerry Logistics Network in the chemical sector and an important base in North China, consolidating the combined resources of the company in the logistics, industries of export, an international standard operating platform and transportation facilities. Located near the Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, the logistics center has a total area of 320,000 square feet, including a Class A warehouse, a Class B warehouse, as well as offices, and has the capacity to process 400,000 tons of Class A and Class B chemicals per year. The logistics center has been designed and built above Chinese national standards and is equipped with intelligent monitoring and management systems. At present, it mainly deals with industrial raw materials, mainly packaged in Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC), drums and buckets. The warehouse will store 38 types of dangerous goods, including flammable liquids and solids, oxidants and corrosive substances.
