AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso called the 3-2 defeat against Inter a "double defeat" after Franck Kessie's reaction.
The Ivorian midfielder was replaced by Andrea Conti in the second half and was clearly unhappy with the decision.
"Everyone needs to be respected in the locker room and that was simply unacceptable," Gattuso told Sky Italia.
"I'm the coach, I have to take care of the discipline in the locker room and the players know how important it is."
"You can criticize my tactics, but I built my career on respect, the group's ethics, the representation of the jersey, paying tribute to teammates who have not played for months. It means the world to me and that is why it's a double defeat.
"I'll have my say in the next few days."
On the game itself: "During the first half, we were constantly in a hurry and unable to play. In the second, we changed a few things. We had difficulty with their pbades and they consistently overtook us with four or five players, "said the coach at Sky Sport Italia.
"I'm sometimes criticized for being too defensive, but you have to remember the characteristics of the players at my disposal.
"I think after losing 2-0, any other team would have collapsed. The Inter combines quality and physical strength, so I am satisfied with the performance. If we did not do what we wanted in the first half, credit goes to Inter.
"We created opportunities, we are very close to an equalizer at the end. There were too many spaces and we made mistakes.
"The defeat that hurts the most is Kessie and I see what happened on the bench. This is something that I can not accept with my vision of football, my vision of the team and the ethics of the group. "
Lucas Paqueta made a tactical change, but Gattuso revealed that was not the case.
"Paquetà felt a hardening of the thigh, I spoke with the doctor, he was just giving the opportunity to a cooler player."
