Ketamine, a PARTY medication, could be used by UK doctors to treat depression by the end of the year.
Esketemine – which comes in the form of a nasal spray – could be approved in November and should relieve the symptoms of depression "within hours".

The drug is already sold in the United States under the brand name Spravato.
According to the Guardian, British patients would spend two hours under surveillance after taking the drug to monitor side effects.
Critics have called the treatment "oversized scam" that can cause hallucinations, dizziness and anxiety.

MEDICINE MAY BE AVAILABLE ON THE NHS
The drug works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which creates feelings of well-being and happiness.
Antidepressants usually take up to eight weeks to have an effect. But the nasal spray would be effective in a few hours.
The European Medicines Agency and the UK Health Regulatory Authority will make a decision in November.
If approved, it will be available in private clinics and a separate decision on the opportunity to make it available on the NHS will come in March of next year.
The drug is a less potent form of ketamine, which is used by doctors and veterinarians as an badgesic and tranquilizer.
It is also used illegally by partygoers and is currently a Clbad B drug in the UK.
