Zoe Ball hesitated to ask Strictly stars questions about Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley during a radio interview on Wednesday.

Dancers Giovanni Pernice, Oti Mabuse and Dianne Buswell participated in the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show to discuss their upcoming professional tour, which they have just repeated.

But listeners at home eagerly awaited their reflections on the secret romance of the 2018 winners, Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley, recently revealed by the documentary director's ex-boyfriend.

However, they were disappointed because while the radio host and presenter of It Takes Two, Zoe was referring to the recent drama while she was greeting her guests, she chose not to answer it directly.

Instead, she questioned the group about Darcey Bussell's resignation – a decision that seemed to be greatly surprised by.

The silence surrounding the relationship between Stacey and Kevin comes from the fact that fans are increasingly impatient at the thought that someone can confirm that the Strictly winners are now an element.

The speculations are legion since ex-Stacey claimed to have found Kev texting on the Glow Up's host's phone, and angrily declared that she had later confessed her feelings for the dancer.

Although neither of them confirmed his relational status, Stacey spoke to social media on Monday to cryptically badert that there were "two sides to every story".

"I have neither the time nor the energy to correct some of the nonsense I have read," she wrote.

"Re Sam, I loved him a lot and I wish him only happiness and success for the future."
